FAQs

When are you open?

Usually we open the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and our last day of the season is Labor Day in September. Daily hours are 12:30 to 8:30 pm.

Awesome! Wait. “Usually?”

Well, we have a few exceptions. After school starts in the August our hours are 4 to 8:30 pm because we have no guards during the day.

Okay…any other exceptions?

Yes, we close early (4 pm) on home swim meet days. Those days are posted on the bulletin boards outside the office door, and we also post on Facebook the day of. We also close early for adult night and special events. We will list those on Facebook, our website, and at the front office so people know what’s going on.

Humph. Closing early makes me grumpy.

Sorry about that. Other than those times though, we’re here for you.

But what about when it rains?

Ah yes. If there’s thunder or lightning, the pool closes for 30 minutes. That gets extended each time there’s more thunder/lightning, for up to three times. After that, the manager has the discretion to close the pool.

What if the sun comes back out?

Then we will usually reopen. We also close if it’s below 65 degrees.

Whaaaat? My kids will swim when it’s 50 degrees out!

Okay but you would be the only ones. Trust us, we try and stay open as much as possible because we make no money when we are closed. And no one wants irritate our members.

So what about guests? Can I sneak some people in?

Well you could, but guests are only $7. Save your soul and buy a guest pass here. Then you never have to worry about having cash on hand and your kids will always have someone to play with.

Okay, I’m sold. What’s the deal with the concessions pass?

It’s a card with 20 punches on it. Each punch is worth 25 cents. If you wanted, say, a 50-cent item, the guards would punch two punches on the pass. Buy one for each of your kids to help them learn to spend wisely!

What’s up with lap swim? Are you doing it this year?

Yes! The guards put a lap lane in every weekday night at 6 pm. Swim your heart out.

My baby is only 3 weeks old. Does she have to be on my membership?

Yes. Babies count toward our capacity limit and they are actual, breathing human beings that we would need to save in an emergency. They need to be on a paid membership, or you can bring them as a guest. Either way, they are not free.

Can I bring floaties?

Sure can. I mean, don’t bring a raft that’s so huge that the guards can’t see kids drowning underneath it, but normal rafts are fine. Unicorn rafts are especially encouraged.

Can I use the grill?

Yep. It’s there for members.

My kids start bugging me at 6 am to go to the pool. If I’m there at 11:45, can you let us in?

No. If kids are anywhere near the water, we have to have a guard there watching them. And then that guard is not able to complete their opening duties. We open the doors at 12:30, no matter how much you stare from outside the fence.

The pool is kind of expensive. I’m not sure I can justify it.

Ah, then you are the perfect candidate for our payment program! Check it out here.

That’s all well and good, but I’ve got a bee in my bonnet and I need someone to yell at. How about you? Can I take it out on you?

Uh…sure. Contact us here and one of our lovely (volunteer!) board members will get in touch with you ASAP.
